Perhaps one of the most daunting and at the same time exciting things would be to decide how and where your accommodation would be. We understand this concern that many students such as you experience and have taken steps to ensure that we are able to cater to any reasonable arrangement you may require in terms of accommodation. One thing you can be certain of is that wherever you choose to live, KIU will quickly become a home away from home. If you decide to live at home while you study, you’ll be one of a significant number of students to do so and there will be lots of opportunities for you to get involved in student life. We are investing heavily in accommodation as we believe it provides the basis for your living in Sri Lanka. KIU will have its own student hostel in 2018 located in the planned multi-storied building complex.

Swimming pool

KIU does not guarantee the availability of a lifeguard on duty at all times so that staff and students use the pool at their own risk. No electronic devices, running, food/drink or diving are allowed at the pool area.

A reasonable variety of food and beverages can be purchased from the cafeteria of the institution during breakfast, lunch and supper times at reasonable prices. The cafeteria has a seating capacity of 150 and will operate from 7am to 8pm.

Hatton National Bank (HNB) is situated within the close proximity of KIU. Facility to make payments using Visa/Master cards is available at KIU. They will be very happy to assist you in exchanging foreign currency to local for your local purchases.

A state-of-the-art Gymnasium is located on the Level 5 for the use of KIU students and staff. The Gymnasium supports, trains, and consults students and instructors in a number of ways.
