KIU’s commitment to excellence and strict adherence to maintaining quality has been the success of a short but very successful journey in KIU’s BScHons (Nursing ) degree programme. KIU’s very own developed curriculum has gained the approval from the University Grants Commission becoming the only private higher education institute to become so in Sri Lanka.
Our degree programme has been recognized by the Maldives Qualification Authority and now Maldives Nursing and Midwifery Council have granted their approval as well. The recognition granted will serve to reassure any prospective students from Maldives as to the acceptance and validity of KIU’s Nursing Degree programme in Maldives as well as in Sri Lanka.
Any student who completes the KIU nursing programme successfully will be eligible to get registered in Maldives Nursing and Midwifery Council and to obtain a practicing license in Maldives. The recognition comes at a time when KIU’s BSc (Hons) in nursing programme is rapidly gaining momentum both in Sri Lanka and abroad due to the superior academic panel and the state of the art facilities on offer.
